IC4W Benefits
Following the recent release announcement of the new IC4W incident management software from CounterCrisis Tech, I thought it would be helpful to elaborate briefly on some of the product’s benefits from a design and capabilities perspective.
IC4W provides organizations in government and industry with a practical and useful framework for integrating data (including geospatial data), plans, procedures, and a knowledge base within an operational environment for managing emergencies and incidents of any kind – (e.g., from pandemics to floods, wildfires, and terrorism incidents, etc.).
IC4W is case- and incident-centric by design offering case managers, emergency managers and/or incident commanders a structured workflow platform for accessing the critical plans, procedures, data, reports, and communications needed to assign tasks and resources in order to resolve cases or incidents. The product is not only adaptable to a wide range of incident types and organizational missions, it is scale-able to meet the demanding requirements of large-scale emergencies.
IC4W integrates Google Forms with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to enable incident management workflows to extend from the public through multiple organizations to emergency operations centres and mobile command posts as well as to staff members and volunteers working in the field or from home. In doing so, IC4W applies Microsoft Dynamics 365’s common data model (CDM), which helps to solve the critical problem of interoperability among organizations with respect to sharing and communicating actionable information for managing incidents.
As IC4W is primarily a SaaS application of Dynamics 365, Microsoft Office 365 and Bing Maps form an integrated part of the solution out-of-the-box.
IC4W was developed to enable case managers, emergency managers and incident commanders to optimize operational readiness and improve emergency response outcomes.
