CounterCrisis Tech is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by Public Safety Canada to implement a national Ground Search and Rescue Incident Command System (GSAR ICS). The purpose of the three-year project is to:
– Improve delivery and efficiency of GSAR capabilities in Canada;
– Enhance national interoperability between SAR organizations through the development and implementation of a GSAR ICS solution;
– Support information, data, and knowledge sharing between SAR jurisdictions;
– Build enhanced disaster response capabilities and support a whole-of-society approach to emergency management within the SAR community including the Canadian Rangers; and
– Foster mutual aid and interjurisdictional cooperation.
GSAR ICS will be an integrated solution comprised of a configuration of CounterCrisis Tech’s IC4W incident management application and a specially configured version of the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK), which is an advanced real-time situational awareness capability. The GSAR ICS solution will be implemented by an integrated industry team comprised of CounterCrisis Tech, Innovus Corp., and KWESST Inc.
