Recent reports analyzing organizational performance with respect to pandemic response as well as the need to be better prepared for the present risks associated with climate change underline the urgent requirement for updating emergency plans. This entails conducting risk assessments in a new light to gain an over-the-horizon view of the ‘new normal’ because ‘business as usual’ just isn’t going to cut it anymore.
Understanding what is likely in store in terms of the future risk landscape can be accomplished through a data driven approach that supports making reasonable assumptions about the future from events that took place in the past. To facilitate this process, CounterCrisis Tech has developed an All-Hazards Composite Risk Index that enables scenario-based assessments to help organizations wrap their heads around the potential future impacts associated with the full range of present-day hazards.
