CounterCrisis Tech recently conducted an Incident Management System (IMS) Technology Gap Analysis for a county emergency services organization. The conclusions of the analysis identified the level to which the organization met recognized international standards for crisis and emergency information management.
In addition to identifying where there were specific gaps in the application of technology, the analysis confirmed that the organization already had most of the information management tools it needed to achieve conformity with international standards. The recommendations of the IMS gap analysis, therefore, were largely focused on how existing technology investments could be configured and integrated by design to optimize their application for better crisis and emergency management outcomes.
