Leveraged Solutions
I attended the virtual Ontario Association of Emergency Managers (OAEM) conference last week, which was a positive learning experience even though it is clear there is still a general gap in understanding how technology can be applied to enable better emergency management outcomes. I think this is especially true of the findings of the “Emergency Management 2.0” white paper, which looks at systemic challenges and opportunities to shape future resilience. It is almost silent regarding the application of technology, which is truly unfortunate in this digital age because technology undoubtedly plays an increasingly critical role.
Our research shows that emergency managers and incident commanders are generally aware they have access to technology that can assist them. What they are specifically unaware of, however, is the extent to which existing technology investments can support their incident management processes, and how to apply technology optimally to address the growing threats they all face. CounterCrisis Tech can help to shed light on these blind spots through a methodical process, which answers the question: Where do we start to gain a better understanding of the opportunities offered by technology optimization?
As the ad says, “You’re richer than you think”. I encourage you to reach out (https://lnkd.in/e-fQ7NY). We can walk you through a process that will lead to a path towards understanding how to leverage current technology investments optimally for measurably better emergency management outcomes.
