Emergency Management Tech Survey
In an August 2020 survey conducted by CounterCrisis Tech, a large majority of emergency managers from across Canada told us they are finding it a challenge to comply with relevant government guidelines and industry standards. This same majority also said that, although they have a need to share information with other organizations in a timely manner during an emergency, they do not have incident management system (IMS) software or any other kind of data interoperable software that supports this critical requirement. In fact, most emergency managers across Canada do not have software of any kind to adequately support the overall emergency management and/or incident command process.
Given that emergency managers and incident commanders need to be able to assimilate information from an increasing variety of digital sources, and turn this information into intelligence that can be shared and acted upon quickly, this is not a positive state of affairs. Not having access to an IMS solution means not adhering to guidelines and standards. It also means not having the ability to manage incidents effectively, especially in this digital age.
Having access to an IMS solution that enables data interoperability, and that functions in an integrated way with everyday business processes, helps organizations to meet recognized guidelines and standards while supporting the end-to-end emergency management and incident command processes.
CounterCrisis Tech is here to help emergency managers meet their respective mandates. Please feel free to contact us (https://countercrisis-tech.com/contact-us/) to schedule a free informal discovery session. Stay safe!
